In the Vascular Development Group, we study plant vascular development at the interface between developmental biology, cell biology and evolutionary biology. We like to implement novel omics technologies such as single cell approaches and chemical biology to help us answering our biological questions. In the team, we focuss on three major research questions related to vascular development. Explore the links above to learn more about our research.
1) What is the molecular basis of growth and development of vascular tissues?
2) What connects the upstream transcriptional regulators to the downstream effectors of cell division orientation and vascular cell proliferation?
3) Can we use evolutionary conservation to find novel regulators of vascular development in tracheophytes?
